Yoga Manchester are beyond thrilled to host Tim Feldmann for his first ever solo workshop in Manchester.Tim is the director of Miami Life Center, the yoga shala he founded with his wife Kino MacGregor and Matt Tashjian. He was set on the yoga path by his first teacher Lino Miele and is Authorized to teach directly by the founder of the Ashtanga Yoga Method, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, and his grandson, R. Sharath Jois. A practitioner of the Advanced A series Tim is dedicated to Ashtanga Yoga’s traditional method.

Breath & Bandhas in Asana + Q&A
This session will be an exploration of the breath and bandhas and how they combine during the Ashtanga Yoga practice. There will also be a question and answer session so make sure to have your Ashtanga questions ready!
Saturday 9th February 9.30am-11.30am
Detaining the Primary Series
During this led class session, Tim will be guiding students through the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga giving guidance and advice towards a deeper understanding of what this series intends to do for us.
Saturday 9th February 12.30pm – 2.30pm
The Primary Series gateway postures -in this technique session Tim will be giving detailed instruction on some of the Primary Series more challenging postures eg Kurmasana Garbha Pindasana etc .
Saturday 9th February 3.30-5pm
Patanjalis Ashtanga Yoga
In the last session of the day Tim will be talking on the origins of Ashtanga as seen through the lens of Patanjali’s 8 limbs. This session will be ideal for those who want to deepen their knowledge of both the internal practice of Ashtanga and Ashtanga as a spiritual path.
Sunday 10th February 10am – 12pm
Primary Series Led Class
This session will be a traditional counted vinyasa Primary Series led class, where Tim will count through the correct vinyasa for each posture in Sanskrit. This session students hopefully will be able to combine the work and knowledge from both the Friday& Saturday sessions.
Sunday 10th February 1pm-3pm
Technique Session – Opening up the back for deeper backbending.
This session is a must for all Ashtanga Yoga students , as Tim will be going into detail on practices and techniques to open up the back so the student can safely go deeper into their backbend.
