Join Eleanor for a whole afternoon of exploring practical methods to relieve your mind and body of stress and anxiety. Throughout the workshop you will be gently guided through a blend yoga poses, breathing techniques and guided meditation to help you rediscover comfort and calm.
Anxiety and stress affects most people at some point in their lives – and for some it can stay for a prolonged period of time which can eventually take its toll on energy levels and general wellbeing. Though yoga in of itself is not a cure, it could be wise to use it as part of a holistic approach to managing stress and anxiety; yoga can offer some simple solutions that can be adapted in “real-life” situations when you find yourself entering into an anxious state.
Yin yoga is a slow, deep practice helping you dig into the connective tissues that surround the joints and help release tension here. For this release to occur, the poses in Yin Yoga are held for a few minutes at a time as you are encouraged to approach things slowly and gently. Through this release, emotional energies that may have accumulated can be identified and so help you understand where stress and anxiety stems from or how they are affecting you physiologically.
This workshop will draw upon Eleanor’s years of teaching experience to guide you through your practice, with props and individual variations available to support you in practice.
All levels of practitioners, from any school of yoga, are welcome to join in the workshop to find balance and equanimity in their life.
