I started practicing Ashtanga yoga over fourteen years ago when I walked into one of Matt Ryan’s classes in Heaton Moor. Matt began the practice and I didn’t know what to expect, I just followed his instruction and allowed myself to flow through the movement of the postures. I remember he just kept saying ‘stay with your breath’, so that’s what I did. I truly did fall in love with the practice from that day. I continued to practice Ashtanga Yoga under Matt’s teaching and was amazed by how much my body opened up, my mind became still and my body felt grounded.
I attended David Swenson’s Teacher Training in 2015 and completed my Yoga Alliance 200 hour training in 2016 with Tim Feldmann and Kino MacGregor at Miami Life Center. I take every opportunity to continue to learn from my teacher Matt Ryan and I am grateful for the opportunities that I have had to learn from other inspirational teachers including Manju Jois and Joey Miles. The Ashtanga Yoga method has allowed me to learn more about myself physically, mentally and spiritually, I humbly wish to share the beauty of this practice and the learnings from my teachers with others.
