An Introductory Week Of Yoga, Wellbeing, Nutrition And Sunshine In Estepona, Spain.
What We Offer
A highly supportive environment where a strong stable foundation in multiple styles of yoga, combined with pranayama and meditative awareness will provide the space and time for you to safely explore and deepen your knowledge of yoga and your body. The daily practices will be applied in a way that assists you in realising your intentions and fortifying a positive life path direction.
Even if you haven’t practiced yoga before we have designed a retreat that will allow you to grasp the basic principles and build your practice as we progress through the week. For those who have a more extensive practice it will allow you to experience different types of yoga and techniques while deepening and bringing more awareness to your practice.
Meet Our Teachers
My passion for yoga began when I fell in love with it over fifteen years ago after taking an Ashtanga class in my hometown of Manchester. I was inspired by a teacher called Andrea Everingham, whose honest passion for the yogi life and contagious joyful spirit encapsulated me.
Once I established my strength on the yoga mat, with the help and inspiration of my teachers, my body and mind changed, I became more focused and I can honestly say that I have lived and died on my yoga mat. I have cried, realised how I needed to change, known what I needed to apologise for, how to forgive and learnt to be proud of myself.
I wanted to give people the opportunity to create positive change like I had so my next step was to embark on a 200-hr teacher training diploma with Yoga Campus. This study allowed me to deepen my own practice and knowledge of yoga and how to pass this on to others with an internationally recognised accreditation with the Independent Yoga Network.
I’m continually inspired by yoga’s transformative power—both internally and externally, and find it to be a source of love and strength. I strive to bring a sense of fun, freedom and kindness to all my classes, and hope to impart yogic wisdom along the way. My classes are vinyasa-based (linking breath with movement) with strong emphasis on alignment and from time to time I throw in elements from other types of yoga I have studied.
“Always believe that something wonderful is going to happen”
Then it will.
In 2011 Liam was looking for a new way of life. He took some time out in India and went to his first Yoga class. He caught “the bug” and his life changed from that point on. As he kept practicing he noticed a positive shift in his mental health, cultivating self-love and self-respect. His passion now, is to pass on Yogic knowledge to people in a fun, calm and enjoyable way where they feel inspired and refreshed.
Liam has spent the last 7 years deepening his knowledge of yoga with some fantastic teachers including Doug Whittaker, Matt Ryan, Teresa Dennison and Collette Corcoran. At first he felt overwhelmed by the many styles of yoga, then found Jivamukti at One Yoga in Chorlton, Manchester. Andrea Everingham showed him how practice could be fun and dynamic whilst Kevin Dennison’s (Yoga Loft) classes gave him a deeper understanding of philosophy and alignment.
Liam draws his inspiration from many lineages of yoga, teaching classes that flow, taking seeds from Ashtanga, Jivamukti, Vinyasa Flow and Power Yoga. He also incorporate elements of Hatha and Shivananda using guided meditation and chanting to create a lovely balance of fun and focus. Everybody’s journey is unique and Liam best serves you by being himself and he also has a laugh that could heal the world. He encourages students to go beyond their imagined limitations and attain goals they once thought impossible.
Liam is a trained healer and runs ceremonies using the ancient wisdom of Cacao he gained in Guatemala. His Cacao Ceremonies allow you to deeply relax and connect with your true self.
Liam feels yoga is a journey that takes place on and off the mat, making the life of the individual and those around them much fuller.
“The success of yoga does not lie in the ability to perform postures but in how it positively changes the way we live our life and relationships” T.K.V Desikachar.
