What is Pilates?

Pilates focuses on building your body's core strength and improving your posture through a series of low repetition low impact stretching and conditioning exercises.

Core strength areas are your back, abdominal and pelvic muscles. Through pilates, you will be able to develop these muscles without adding bulk, increase your flexibility and agility, and at the same time tone your stomach and thigh muscles.

Pilates helps strengthen and re-align the body’s posture helping to increase movement after injury. However, it goes far beyond core muscles. As well as providing a complete body workout, it also helps develop a keen awareness of how your body works enabling your mind and body to work in harmony.
