Yoga newbie?
If you’ve never tried Yoga before you might be a little nervous about what to expect.
We advise that you start with a level 1 class where you can get comfortable with the basics, take your time working on your technique and build up to more challenging poses slowly. Asana is the Sanskrit name for the physical yoga poses that most people associate with Yoga. Interestingly, Asana is described by yoga guru Patanjali as ‘a steady comfortable pose’ (Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, II, 46), so it makes sense that if you are new to Yoga you should consider starting with a gentle yoga class, such as Leonie’s Hatha Yoga class on a Wednesday evening.
The Class For You
Leonie’s gentle Hatha Yoga class provides a relaxed, non-competitive practice where you can learn the basics and become more sensitively attuned to your body and its alignment. You will find ways to gently open and strengthen your body, improve your technique and experience a wonderful sense of relaxation, in a friendly warm atmosphere. All are welcome to join this drop in class; please ensure you speak to the tutor prior to the class if you have any injuries or conditions.
